Gemma Christina Arterton was born in Kent in Gravesend. Greater London. The actress is well-known as a character in films like Quantum of Solace, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, and a slew of others like 'Hansel & Grete: Witch Hunters. Her birthplace was in Gravesend, Kent, in Greater London. Her professional career started after she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her debut came with a satire titled 'St Trinian's'. For the James Bond film Quantum of Solace, which was released within a short time, she was a supporting role. The film was a success commercially but received mostly average reviews. Later, she played the lead female character in the fantasy action movie "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". She played a role as a supporter in the French movie "Orphan.' Arterton has been nominated for numerous prizes throughout her career. She won her the "Empire Award for the Best Newcomer" for the film "Quantum Of Solace," in addition to the "Evening Standard Theatre Award" for her performance in the musical, 'Made by Dagenham". Her award was with the Glamour Award for Women of the Year in 2011.
