Dennings dated the "2 Broke Girls" co-star, Nick Zano, from the year 2011 until 2014. Following the breakup the couple, she then started dating musician Josh Groban. The two stayed together until 2016. Dennings first came across Andrew W.K., a musician during the first year of 2021. The pair soon began to date and confirmed their engagement in the month of the May of 2021. Dennings had been of an admirer of the singer from 2014. Dennings admits that even though she is Jewish and became an active member in the Jewish community at a social and ethnic level, religion is not a major part in her everyday life. For example, she enjoys painting, reading, as well as gardening. She had planned to attend arts school previously, but her plan was ruined by a flooding that caused the destruction of her portfolio. This was a clear sign for her to go into acting. She doesn't drink or smoke, and she enjoys Transcendental Meditation. She is also a proponent of the rights of animals and has a pet cat.
