Sharon Yvonne Stone, born 10 March 1958 in Meadville (Pennsylvania), is her mother's Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, as well as Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her brothers and sisters. Stone was considered to be exceptionally gifted in her academics when she entered in the second grade at age five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She also competed in Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, and was crowned Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move back to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to pursue a modeling career after signing at the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. After that, she moved back to Europe and spent the whole year living in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone was, however, frustrated with modeling and acting in Europe. She chose to keep her acting career going acting as a model while she lived there. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", got mixed praise in her 20s.
